The overall size of a cooktop is not its required cutout. Send the model specification and installation drawing, a photo of the old appliance and a view of the cabinets below. The available opening, supports and clearances determine whether an alteration is sensible.
What can be assessed
Suitable installed modifications include cooktop enlargement, sink changes, tap holes, benchtop shortening and overhang reduction. Each needs a material and support assessment. We do not assume that a larger hole, an undermount finish or an altered waterfall can be achieved safely in place.
Coordinate the trades
Gas, electrical and plumbing work must be organised with the appropriate licensed trades. Tell us who is removing the appliance and when the replacement is to be fitted. Cutting an opening does not include appliance connection unless explicitly arranged in the written scope.

What information do you need before quoting?
Send photos above and below the stone, the new fitting model and installation drawing, current opening dimensions, your suburb and any access restrictions.
Can all existing stone benchtops be modified?
No. The material, thickness, existing damage, remaining stone and support determine suitability. We assess the proposed change before confirming a cutting scope.
Are appliance connections included?
Plumbing, gas and electrical work are separate unless expressly included in the quote. Arrange the appropriate licensed trades for disconnection and reconnection.
