Identify the collection, not only the brand

Smartstone states that its earlier engineered-stone ranges were discontinued and replaced by its Sintered Collection in March 2024. A bench described as Smartstone may therefore belong to a different material family from a newer installation. The original invoice, colour name and product paperwork help identify what is installed. Brand recognition alone does not establish the correct repair approach.

Chips, cracks and joints

Show the full bench and close-ups of each damaged location. Include sink rims, exposed corners and any line extending away from a chip. A suitable small edge repair is a different proposal from a long crack or uneven waterfall connection. Colour, pattern and sheen influence the appearance, and repairs to porcelain or sintered surfaces have particular visibility limitations.

Surface finish questions

Do not assume a dull or stained area can be polished locally back to its manufactured appearance. We do not promise factory repolishing after sanding engineered stone. Natural-stone restoration advice cannot automatically be applied to a branded manufactured surface. The written quotation should identify the actual material, extent of treatment and any practical difference remaining afterwards.

Request an independent repair quote

Provide the suburb, product details, photographs and any previous repair or coating history. Standard chip repair starts from $450 + GST; porcelain adds $100 + GST per chip and remains visibly repaired.
