A sink enquiry starts underneath the Sydney benchtop

For a Sydney sink that has dropped, a top-down picture of the kitchen is only the starting point. The most useful second view is inside the cabinet: show the bowl flange, the gap below the stone, any existing clips or rails and the pipes attached to the sink. Include your suburb and postcode. These details help separate a failed fixing from a problem with the stone opening or cabinet, and make the proposed removal and reinstallation scope clearer before you book.

Preparation and the support arrangement are confirmed for the existing installation.

Plan the repair around the rest of your kitchen

Tell us whether the bowl is still connected, whether you have a waste unit and whether a dishwasher, drawers or shelving restrict access. If water has entered the cupboard, show the affected cabinet as well as the sink. Sydney attendance is confirmed for the address and proposed work. Plumbing coordination, parking and access are agreed before the appointment; a form enquiry does not reserve an immediate visit.

What the standard existing-sink service includes

The starting scope is removal, preparation and reinstallation of your existing undermount sink using suitable bonding and support. It does not supply a new sink. The existing bowl, opening, bonding faces and cabinet access need to be suitable for the proposed method. Additional support, new sink supply, plumbing, cutout changes and other stone or cabinet repairs are separate unless specifically agreed. Your written quotation confirms the work, any additional costs and the amount payable before booking.

Mega epoxy holds the sink; silicone seals the joint.

We remove the sink from its failed fixing, clean away old adhesive and prepare the contact surfaces before positioning it correctly beneath the stone. We use Mega epoxy for the fixing: it cures into a hard, rigid bond to hold the sink securely. Support jacks keep the sink propped in the correct position while the epoxy sets properly. Silicone seals the joint against water; it is not used as the load-bearing adhesive. This careful preparation, bonding and curing process is designed for a durable fixing. We confirm any additional support required for the existing sink and cabinet, and explain the curing period before the sink can be used again.

Request a sink quote with useful photos

On the enquiry form, select Dropped Undermount Sink Repair under Job Type. Upload a full-benchtop view, a close-up of the rim gap and pictures of the sink underside, support and plumbing. Include dimensions, your suburb and postcode, whether the bowl is connected or leaking and any previous repair. Do not pull on or dismantle a loose sink for a photograph. After a re-fit, follow the stated curing period before use.

Questions, answered.

Can you attend an undermount sink job in Sydney?

Availability and any travel or access costs are confirmed for your address before booking. Send your suburb, postcode, photos and access details to confirm the proposed work and attendance.

Does the Sydney starting price include a new sink?

No. From $990 + GST covers the standard removal, preparation and reinstallation of the existing sink with suitable bonding and support. New sink supply, plumbing and additional work are separate unless agreed.

What should I do before the sink repair is booked?

Stop loading or using a loose sink, send photos from above and underneath without disturbing it, and tell us about leaks and connected plumbing. Arrange any required plumber and building access once the written scope and date are confirmed.

How do you hold the sink securely while the epoxy sets?

We prepare the bonding surfaces, fix the sink with Mega epoxy and prop it in the correct position with support jacks until the epoxy has set properly. The epoxy forms the hard, rigid bond; silicone is used to seal the joint against water. Follow the curing and use instructions provided after the repair.
